It's been fun

Dear Friends
I used to train Parkour most recently over the past year with the Manchester group. However just under two months ago, I discovered that I developed Heart disease. I'm 18 and am no longer capable of doing little more than a walking pace. I look back and admire how my friends have continued to progress. I didn't come here for sympathy; I came here to tell anyone reading this, that in life, we let things slip away. We waste our time and make excuses. Be thankful for every coming day, and treat it as your last. I'd trade all that I have to be able to do Parkour like i used to, and I regret every day that I spent in bed, when I could have been out-doors. For me, my Parkour days are over. But if your reading this remember not to lose sight of what you want to achieve in life, because that one opportunity might not always be there.
And ask yourself... 'What's your excuse?'

It was great training with you, Jim! You may not be able to train for now, but stop by to say hello as often as you like :) You know where we'll be. Your parkour days are never over, because parkour is about overcoming obstacles of all kinds, not just scaling walls and vaulting physical objects.

Keep the parkour mindset and you'll find a way to train again.
Correct the wise man and he will thank you. Correct the fool and he will attack you.

Sorry to hear that Jim. I hope that in time, the specialists may find away for you to do the things you want to do. You're doing the right thing by taking their advice and holding back from doing anything risky. But do come down and visit anytime, especially when the weather is better. We are still your friends after all.
